Symposium 276 is one of the most important international conferences in astronomy and was held at the Centro Congressi Torino Incontra from the 11th to the 15th of this past October. It was organized by the IAU (International Astronomical Union) and was chosen this year by the City of Turin and its Astronomical Observatory as the key players.

easymeeting™ could not miss the Symposium, this year entitled "The Astrophysics of Planetary Systems: Formation, Structure, and Dynamical Evolution", which was attended by over 230 experts from five continents involved in various research fields.

The debate, dynamic and interactive, had two general objectives:

• Describing the state of the art in the study of extra solar planets through a discussion based on the latest theoretical developments.
  
• Identifying objectives and strategies for the coming years in order to advance knowledge in the various complex processes that involve formation, structure and evolution of planetary systems.
  
  

A special note goes to the American researcher Mr. Mark Swain who captured the attention of the remote user audience on his research by being directly connected in interactive video communication with his PC in the "Jet Propulsion Laboratory” in Pasadena, California.

Not to forget that the easymeeting™ software has already been used several times in the past by the team of the Astronomical Observatory of Turin for numerous research projects. These, during the years, have involved several projects and many Italian and foreign universities: high audio and video quality, the possibility to easily exchange documents and to collaborate on a remote application have been the reasons for this choice that time has defined as successful.
