easymeeting™ has proved once more to be a partner of excellence for distant training during the second appointment of the Multiconference 2011, organized by the Niky Project onlus: this was the second round of the cycle of conferences organized by the association and was a great success. In fact Niky had announced at the end of the last conference connected with the Baze Zucchelli in Antarctica on the 27th of last January and it was: a video conferencing directly from inside a submarine!
It seemed impossible, but easymeeting™ - our interactive video communication software - allowed everyone to visit virtually the Galata Museum in Genoa and to actively participate in the conference entitled The Submarines, Nazario Sauro.
Many the users who have participated during this day remotely were: the students of the Liceo Statale "F. Severi "in Salerno, Niky Franscisco who attended the conference directly from the Walkirye, the students of the Nautical Collage of Salerno, Gaeta, Genova, Siracusa, La Spezia, Carrara, Sorrento, Pozzallo and Palermo.
The Eng. Mr. Tufano and Mr. Renato Botturi Fincantieri explained the technical characteristics of the submarine, while the Commander of the Navy Military Mr. Romano Sauro told the story of "Nazario" through the memories of his grandfather, the hero who gave his name to the submarine. During this event they also gave out the Duilio Marcante 2011 award.
