The SMS VENICE project (acronym for Saint Mark Square) was born in 2008 from the unity of purpose of the City of Venice, the Superintendence for the Architectural and Landscaping Heritage of the Venice lagoon and Fran Tomasi & Associates that organizes the event. Strongly desired by the City of Venice, the project aims to promote public awareness with the support of sponsors and through donations via telephone and web campaigns: this in order to collect funds for the protection and conservation of the city that is one of the best destination for all tourists thanks to the unique complex of monuments recognized as a World Heritage Site.
