The XXI world Congress of Laparoscopy, supervised by the illustrious Professor Palazzini, took place in Rome on May 13th and 14th. This year, like in past events, the auditorium of the Massimo theatre was connected through easymeeting™ by remote access hospitals were able to provide doctors and specialists for training from a distance. This event is becoming very important for the ECM certification thanks to the increasing presence of the major specialists in this discipline.

This year the convention gave the opportunity to introduce to a large audience the videolearning™ portal ( www.videolearning.it). The videolearning™ portal is a web site for medical video training and video surgery that has been designed by Feedback Italia for the medical community.

Videolearning™ allows the users to upload or to watch surgery, to provide specialized training with statistical reports and to identify the improvement step by step. In addition it is possible to create live events with full interaction among the remote audiences so that they can ask questions to the speakers in real time through the videolearning™ portal. This project is directed by the Professor Succo (Martini Hospital of Turin) regarding the medical training and by Professor Palazzini regarding the TV Medicine section.
