1. I have nothing to hide, so why do I need an encrypted phone?
We cannot longer ignore that everything we do with modern communications equipment leaves a digital trail. In today’s ever-connected world, every single move we do on the Internet is being monitored by giant corporations, intelligence agencies and even illegal organizations. From "private"messages, texts, e-mails, site visits and passwords to online purchases, images and searches: everything is collected and stored and can be potentially sold or disclosed to malicious third parties, causing great harm to yourself and your loved ones when falling into the wrong hands.

2. Why can't I just rely on a properly updated iOS or Android devices, protected with antiviruses, VPN, MDM and encrypted apps to protect all my information?
Every information shared using standard devices relies on cloud storage, being potentially accesible to anyone that could access the provider infrastructure, as proven by recent scandals. Moreover, cyber attacks are on the rise, even though manufacturers are trying to minimize the impact of the phenomenon: devices running standard OS can easily be attacked by malwares and viruses; and their hardware components can incorporate vulnerabilities that can be used to infect the device (for instance, with baseband attacks).

5. Where is the Hushmeeting server located?
The Hushmeeting server will be located within the Customer network, offering maximum control over the technology and preventing any unauthorized access by third parties. Moreover our solution allows a thorough source code inspection, giving our Customers the unique opportunity to autonomously check the system for backdoors and vulnerabilities and to customize the platform according to their security requirements.

6. What can I do with a Hushmeeting device?
The Hushmeeting device offers a full set of communication and collaboration features, such as audio, video, conferencing, messaging, file transfer, secure productivity tools for document, spreadsheet and email processing.

7. Is Hushmeeting compliant with the current Italian regulation?
The system can be fully configured in order to ensure its compliance with the Customer's country applicable regulations. As for the current Italian and European regulations, the Hushmeeting solutions are fully compliant with the laws on corporate data usage to prevent computer crime (D. Lgs. 231/01) and with the current privacy regulation (i.e. GDPR).

8. How can I make sure the system does not have any hidden backdoor, that can potentially be used by third parties or even by Feedback Italia to access my data?
Thanks to full visibility on the source code, the Customer can internally check the system for backdoors and vulnerabilities. We perform a full know-how transfer towards the client’s technical team, empowering them to modify the software’s source code and allowing them to adquire full control on the system.

The Hushmeeting devices have been engineered to avoid by design any security risk, blocking any hardware or software update that can potentially compromise the security of the system and being fully indpendent from patch reases.

The Hushmeeting devices relies on a mobile data connection that can be provided through a standard SIM card (Hushmeeting smartphones) or via LAN (Hushmeeting PC).

20. Is Hushmeeting open source?
NNo, unlike other solutions on the market, Hushmeeting is not based on open source technology. We developed Hushmeeting as a full proprietary solution to make sure no unverified components can compromise the security of the system (including the server, codecs, encryption, hardware, software, OS and protocols) and to grant our Customers: - full control on the solution; - possibility to fully customize the system.

SYes, the Hushmeeting device not only supports a wired headset, it comes with one! The Hushmeeting headset has been tested to grant the best audio quality and to integrate with the built-in echo canceller system.

22. Where is the Hushmeeting device designed?
Hushmeeting has been entirely designed in Italy. Minor components have been produced by certified suppliers, whereas the rest of the system, including the hardware, software and OS components managing the security of the system have been fully developed and assembled in house.

Our services work regardless of geographical location, all you need is a working 3G connection. Hushmeeting is also compatible with 4G mobile technology used in Europe, Asia, Middle East. The Hushmeeting modem can be replaced upon the Customer request or to be used with specific networks.
