Flavio Cattaneo (Terna's CEO) in easymeeting™ with the Confindustria's young entrepreneurs.

SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURE (Genoa, Italy): Flavio Cattaneo was connected in video communication with the Grand Hotel Miramare, where the usual meeting of the Confindustria’s Young Entrepreneurs was going on. Even Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian Premier, was among the young entrepreneurs.
The connection via easymeeting™ allowed the Terna’s CEO to be “remotely” present at the meeting, even though he was in Tunisia. He could take part in the discussion commenting on the actual financial situation. The two day meeting was titled: “Later! The crisis, Italy and how to be ready for the economic reboot”.
The manager talked about some bureaucratic problems that are slowing down the power lines realization, already established by a six billion euro investment plan. Two billion are ready but still not proceeding because of missing authorization. He said "The delays of the Public Administration on the electric net intervention represent a cost for the country, otherwise the Italian System would save one billion euro per year”.
Cattaneo still said that “Terna has around two billion euro for investments waiting for approval, some of them already presented in 2006”. Because of this, the electric system efficiency and safety are compromised and a thousand of enterprises keep waiting for their contracts. The 2009-2018 Terna’s investment plan amount is six billion euro: 3.4 billion (2.6 billion in net development and safety) for the first five years.
The management of this event shows how the interactive video-communication system is becoming a natural way to communicate at every level.
