On 21st of May, Feedback Italia conducted the live streaming for Zanichelli, , one of the major Italian publishing house.
The event “Download the book, not the bookshops” was held at the historical bookshop in Bologna (Italy).
The event was strongly supported by Mr. Gino Gatteschi (Zanichelli Sales Director), which is aimed for teachers and booksellers, to present their innovative ways of selling e-books.
Zanichelli, indeed, now allows its customers to maintain direct contact with the bookshops at the time of purchase; and not only allows payment by credit card but also with debit card and cash.
Remote users were able to participate in the event from any type of Internet-connected device (PC, Mac, tablet, smartphone, etc..) in a simple, intuitive way and can directly enter in the event by using a link in the publisher’s website.
The main speakers at the event were: Irene Enriques (Zanichelli General Director), Elisabetta Tola (Journalist and University professor) and Edoardo Scioscia (Il Libraccio President and IBS Vice President). They shared Zanichelli’s vision on digital book market and the actual relation between paper and digital world.
During the live streaming the remote users asked a lot of questions using the internal chat, editorial team filtered and forwarded them to the speakers, to provide real time answers.
The event was a testimony of efficiency, usability and attractiveness that this kind of digital event has to the audience.
The movies streamed during the event are already available on the Zanichelli YouTube Channel: click here to see them .
