Surprise, surprise: iPhone data is not as anonymous as Apple claims

According to app development and research team Mysk, iPhone usage data are not as anonynous as Apple claims in its Device Analytics & Privacy statement.

The researches in fact showed that the detailed analytics data Apple records about what you do in the App Store can be tied directly to your Apple account, as iPhone’s analytics data includes an ID number associated to the users’s full name, email, birth data, phone number and more.

As of now, Apple did not respond to requests for comment, but these revelations are consistent with the recent discoveries regarding Apple’s privacy problems and promises.
